What Is Sequencer Entropy Deviation?

Leviasynth Firmware

Sequencer Entropy Deviation introduces controlled variation into your sequences.

Each sequencer step can be assigned an Entropy Deviation value that determines how far it may vary from its originally programmed setting. This allows notes, modulation, and other sequenced parameters to change over time while the sequence maintains its underlying musical structure. You can use subtle settings to add movement and humanization, or increase the deviation to create more unpredictable and evolving results.

For a more detailed explanation, please refer to the latest Leviasynth Owner’s Manual which is included in the firmware download pack.

Leviasynth Sequencer Walkthrough video

Our new Leviasynth Sequencer Quick Start video provides a practical walkthrough of the sequencer features included with firmware v1.2. The video covers:

  • Programming and recording a sequence

  • Assigning and configuring sequencer tracks

  • Using the Macro Track to automate sound parameters

  • Adding controlled variation with Sequencer Entropy Deviation

Whether you are creating your first Leviasynth sequence or exploring its deeper sequencing capabilities, this video will help you get started quickly.

Additional Improvements

Firmware v1.2 also brings improved pad response to the Leviasynth Desktop, along with a wide range of refinements across the Sequencer, Arpeggiator, Chord mode, MIDI, MPE, Multi mode, patch management, and effects.

Sequencer recording, playback, track recall, random playback, and Local control behavior have all been refined for a smoother and more dependable creative workflow. External MIDI and DAW integration have also been enhanced, with improved support for velocity, aftertouch, Pitch Bend, MPE expression, Chord mode, and Arpeggiator performance.

Additional refinements include restored microtonal scale importing, improved Multi mode tuning and recall, more consistent patch loading, expanded NRPN functionality, and smoother response when adjusting reverb pre-delay.

We recommend that all Leviasynth owners update to firmware v1.2 to take advantage of the latest features, refinements, and performance improvements.
