Not long ago, we wrote about the upcoming 10th anniversary of Line 6 Helix and asked a simple question: “What if Line 6 is quietly preparing a Helix 2?” Read it here.
As it turns out, that question wasn’t far off. Line 6 has now revealed what’s next. During a livestream marking a decade of Helix, they officially announced two brand-new amp and effects processors: Helix Stadium and Helix Stadium XL.
With Helix Stadium, Line 6 takes a clear step into the next generation — while keeping the workflow familiar for longtime users.

What’s New in Helix Stadium?
The new Agoura amp modeling engine is a major upgrade. It focuses on ultra-realistic, detailed modeling that captures the subtle nuances of analog gear and circuit behavior. Along with that, Line 6 introduced a new “Hype” control. This lets you quickly go from raw, authentic amp tones to a more polished, mix-ready sound with just one knob.
There’s also PROXY - an amp/cab/effect cloning engine, which allows you to clone and load tones from other sources directly into the unit.

The Helix Stadium series comes with a sleek 8-inch touchscreen for fast editing, plus five new navigation buttons to make moving around the interface easier. If you know the old Helix workflow, you’ll feel right at home.

New Tools for Preset Editing and Performance
Line 6 has added a lot of thoughtful new features for people who care about live setups and fast workflow. There’s a new Preset Audition feature, allowing each preset to include an audio sample — or even your own recorded clip. Presets now support text descriptions, graphic EQ, and a new Focus View, which uses touch zones on the new touchscreen to make morphing between sounds more intuitive and fluid than ever before.

You also get a redesigned Command Center, better amp and cab organization, a Mix Matrix, and full X/Y control for any parameter. There’s even a new Showcase engine that lets you trigger snapshots, load backing tracks and split them into individual tracks and also handle your preset changes during a live set.
Old Helix presets are fully compatible with the new units, so you don’t have to start over.
Stadium vs Stadium XL
The regular Helix Stadium is more compact and streamlined, while the Helix Stadium XL adds extras like:
12 scribble strips
Up to 4 effects loops, expression pedals, amp outs, and drum triggers
Expanded I/O with variable impedance inputs and S/PDIF
Dual-piece aluminum chassi

Both versions support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, wireless editing, and new tools like sidechain compression.
Other New Gear
Alongside the new Helix units, Line 6 also introduced:
The EX2 expression pedal, with assignable toe switch and dual outputs
The Expand D10 expansion module, adding 8-channel optical audio and support for digital mixers, Variax, Powercab, and more
A durable Helix Stadium Backpack with water-resistant compartments and Veltex-lined interior

When and How Much?
Helix Stadium and Stadium XL will be available for pre-order starting June 25th. Pricing in the U.S. is expected to start at $1799.99 for Stadium and $2199.99 for Stadium XL. Other new accessories range from $149.99 to $249.99.
