Monster synths are a tiny club. The Schmidt Eightvoice, the occasional one-off build that shows up at a trade show and then disappears for three years. These are instruments nobody buys by accident, and there are never more than a handful of them in production at any given moment.

The SinTH2 monster synth is the newest name on that short list, and it was built in Poland. Sixty voices of polyphony, five oscillators, 120 potentiometers, a Fatar keyboard, and a wooden housing with a panel that folds out toward you. Its official premiere took place on 18 July 2026, and prices are already published: €6,999 for the folding-panel version, €6,799 for the fixed panel, €5,800 for the desktop.

Full disclosure on bias: Noise Harmony runs out of Warsaw, so a Polish-built instrument of this size gets our attention faster than it probably should. Poland has a real hardware scene now, with Polyend and XAOC Devices shipping worldwide for years. But few Polish synthesizer projects have attempted anything on this physical scale. That’s a good reason to look closely, and a bad reason to hand out compliments, so here’s what is actually known so far.

Who is Tom Horn, and what is the SinTH2?
Tomasz Rożek, who works under the name Tom Horn, built the original SinTH roughly 16 years ago. The SinTH2 is the follow-up, developed over about two years by a team of five: Rożek plus Marcin on C++, Arek building panels, Marek doing the woodwork, and Przemek on graphics. A carpenter with a credit on a synthesizer tells you something about how this instrument is made.
That background matters, because the SinTH2 isn’t presented as a clone of anything. A significant part of the current hardware market consists of recreations or reinterpretations of established instruments. The SinTH2 is a fresh design with an engine that doesn’t map neatly onto any famous instrument, which is either the most interesting thing about it or the riskiest, depending on how you feel about buying a synth nobody has reviewed yet.
Inside the SinTH2 sound engine
Look at a machine this size and you assume analog. The SinTH2 is digital, and its oscillators are sample-based, with the engine combining sampled content and classic synthesis. That combination is unusual at this end of the market. Sample-heavy instruments often end up as menu-driven workstations with a limited number of physical controls and a touchscreen.
The engine runs 60 voices across three oscillator blocks holding five oscillators in total. The panel labels the first two blocks Multiwave OSC 1 and Multiwave OSC 2, each carrying two independent stereo layers. The third is labelled Singlewave OSC and carries one layer, which Rożek positions for basses, leads, and reinforcement underneath the other two. Each block gets its own OLED display and its own row of controls. There’s a noise oscillator with its own colour and pan controls, and 3 GB of internal waveforms and sounds to pull from.
Filtering runs through an 18 dB multimode filter with low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass modes, plus the usual cutoff and resonance. The 18 dB figure describes how steeply the filter cuts frequencies past the cutoff point, sitting between a 12 dB slope and a steeper 24 dB design. The published material does not yet include a complete signal-flow diagram, so the precise routing of all five oscillators through the filter has not been confirmed. The Singlewave block appears to carry additional cutoff and key-tracking controls, but their exact function within the signal path has not yet been documented.
Modulation sits in the lower left, and the panel spells it out: a Filter LFO, a Pitch LFO, an Amp LFO, and a Pan LFO, plus one Global Pitch LFO. The panel also shows two main ADSR sections marked Filter ADSR and Amp ADSR, while the Singlewave oscillator has additional envelope-related controls of its own. Synth Anatomy lists three ADSR envelopes but names only the filter and amplifier envelopes, so the exact envelope architecture still needs clarification from the developer. The filter section adds its own velocity, mod wheel, and sequencer routings. The effects run down the right side with a dedicated control section for each one instead of a shared menu, covering drive, ensemble, phaser, delay, reverb, and EQ. A stereo audio input feeds that effects engine directly, so the SinTH2 can also process external audio.
A 16-step polyphonic sequencer handles motion recording for every knob on the panel, and 1,920 memory slots give you somewhere to put the results. Demonstration units already contain programmed sounds, although the number and contents of the factory presets have not been announced.
One note on reading that table: a few rows still say TBA, and those are genuine gaps rather than things we couldn’t be bothered to look up. A synth you configure before it gets built
The fold-out panel invites comparisons to the Schmidt, and the format is genuinely similar: a two-section instrument with a keyboard below and a wall of controls above. The panel carries 120 potentiometers, nine encoders, 36 buttons, and four OLED displays: one above each oscillator block, and one for the preset section. Underneath sits a Fatar keyboard with a joystick. The key count and aftertouch capability have not been stated.
The fold-out housing is only one option. You can order the SinTH2 with a flat fixed panel instead, or as a desktop module without the keyboard. Colour scheme, mechanical layout, and some software details are all discussed order by order, which is closer to how a custom guitar shop works than how a synth company works. Published coverage reports balanced XLR outputs, a stereo input for the effects, and 5-pin MIDI. XLR outs on a synth are a practical stage feature, allowing connection to balanced audio systems over long cable runs, although whether a DI box is required will depend on the particular setup.
Boutique builders at this scale are a different world from Waldorf or Korg. The upside is an instrument specified to your taste. The downside arrives the day something breaks.
What the SinTH2 costs
Three configurations, three prices, all with VAT included. The folding-panel version is €6,999. The fixed-panel version is €6,799. The desktop module, which drops the keyboard, is €5,800. Those figures are listed as valid until 15 August 2026, so the manufacturer has not confirmed what the prices will be after that date.
Production is listed as taking two to three weeks from the order, and every unit ships with a 24-month warranty and a declaration of conformity. That last detail matters more than it sounds. For an instrument sold directly by a small builder, a formal warranty and declaration of conformity provide buyers with clearer terms than an undocumented one-off sale.
Context on the number: €6,999 places the SinTH2 firmly in the premium synthesizer market. For an instrument built by five people in small batches, in a solid wood case, with a Fatar keyboard underneath, the pricing reflects the scale of the construction and its build-to-order model. Whether it’s the right price depends entirely on how the engine, hardware, software stability and after-sales support hold up in a proper review, and no detailed independent review has been published yet.

What we still don't know about the SinTH2
The open questions are all about the engine. Nobody has confirmed whether you can load your own samples or whether multisampling is supported, which is the single biggest unknown for a sample-based instrument, and the difference between a closed waveform synthesizer and something approaching a workstation. The keyboard’s key count and aftertouch capability haven’t been stated. USB connectivity goes unmentioned in the published specs, which matters if users are expected to move sound content or edit presets from a computer.
Coverage is thin and occasionally inconsistent, too. The early write-ups don’t agree on the modulation and envelope sections, and the panel itself shows two clearly labelled main ADSR sections plus additional controls in the Singlewave block. There’s no announced dealer network, and we have not found a detailed independent review of the instrument yet.
