Arturia has expanded its AstroLab family with a brand-new 37-key model and this isn’t just a “shrunk-down” version. AstroLab 37 brings the full power of the original AstroLab into a compact, stage-ready, throw-it-in-your-backpack format that still feels like a serious instrument, not a compromise.

You’re still getting the same blend of multi-engine synthesis, classic keyboard emulations, and modern hybrid textures. The slim keybed with aftertouch, clean control layout, and instant access to 40+ instruments makes the whole thing feel like a hardware portal to Arturia’s entire sonic universe without the clutter that usually slows you down. The keys are slim keys, slightly narrower than full-size keys, a design choice intended to keep the instrument lightweight and portable.
AstroLab 37 is built for creators who work everywhere: in the studio, on stage, on the road, or on the couch. The arpeggiator, chord and scale modes, vocoder, and four expressive macros let you shape sounds fast, without digging through nested menus. The color screen and navigation encoder make browsing and tweaking presets feel immediate and effortless. The display/encoder section is simplified compared to the larger AstroLab models, but still designed for fast preset navigation rather than full patch construction. Full sound editing is not available directly on the AstroLab 37 - deep patch design requires software such as Analog Lab Pro, V Collection, or AstroLab Connect.

But the real strength comes from how deeply it plugs into the Arturia ecosystem. With Analog Lab Pro and AstroLab Connect, you can sync presets, build performance sets, and dive into full sound editing on your laptop or mobile device. Connectivity is generous too USB, MIDI, mic input, Bluetooth audio, balanced outs, pedal input, headphones making it just as comfortable as a live instrument as it is a studio hub.
The four macro knobs Brightness, Timbre, Time, and Movement sweep multiple parameters at once. Open the filter, add drive, push stereo width all in one twist. It’s expressive, hands-on sound design without the complexity.
AstroLab 37 features four dedicated FX controls covering delay, reverb, and two insert effects per preset. Everything is pre-mapped for performance, but you can fully remap it in Analog Lab if you want deeper customization.
