FabFilter has released **FabFilter Twin 3.10**, adding full MPE support and more than 200 factory presets. The free update also prepares the factory library for MPE controllers and fixes an arpeggiator timing bug. Existing projects remain compatible, so Twin 3 users can install it over their current version.

What FabFilter Twin 3.10 changes with MPE

FabFilter Twin 3 can now respond to expression separately for each note through MPE and Note Expression. Pitch bend works per note by default when MPE is active, rather than moving every note in a chord together. MIDI sources also gain Timbre and Lift inputs. Our guide to MIDI Polyphonic Expression explains how this differs from the global controls on a regular MIDI keyboard.

More than 200 new presets are included

The Twin 3.10 update adds over 200 factory presets made by bManic, Bigtone and Christian Laffitte. FabFilter has also updated the existing factory sounds so they respond to an MPE controller without extra setup. That gives MPE keyboard owners useful starting points before they begin assigning expression controls themselves. Our article on the truth about synth presets explains why a good patch library can also help you learn a synth.

How to install the update

Existing users can install Twin 3.10 directly over their current version. Download the latest Twin 3 or Total Bundle installer from FabFilter, then run it without removing the old installation first. FabFilter says the update is fully backward compatible, so projects made with earlier Twin 3 versions should still open correctly. The release also fixes an arpeggiator bug that could lose sync and repeat notes while processing many MIDI controller messages, much like the practical fixes covered in our FabFilter Pro-Q 4.02 update report.

Price and Availability

FabFilter Twin 3.10 is available now and costs nothing for existing Twin 3 owners. FabFilter did not give a new-license price in the update announcement. Windows support covers versions from Vista through Windows 11 in 32-bit and 64-bit, using VST 2/3, CLAP or Pro Tools. Mac users need macOS 10.13 or later on an Intel or Apple Silicon processor, with Audio Units, CLAP, VST 2/3 or Pro Tools.

The update can be installed through either the Twin 3 installer or the FabFilter Total Bundle installer. Users who want the synth for the first time can check its current price through Plugin Boutique. Installation details are available on FabFilter’s official Twin 3.10 update page.
