After a long wait, Line 6 Helix Stadium 1.3 update has finally arrived and with it, one of the most anticipated features: Proxy. This update introduces 5 new Agoura amp channels from 2 new amps, Line 6’s new Proxy cloning engine, along with additional features, improvements, and bug fixes. It is strongly recommended for all Helix Stadium users.

Proxy Cloning Engine

Version 1.3 introduces Phase 1 of Line 6’s all-new Proxy cloning engine, designed to capture the virtual DNA of your favorite gear. This means you can now create your own digital versions of external equipment directly inside Helix Stadium.

Based on the official Line 6 tutorial video, the process is relatively straightforward, but it does require proper setup and attention to detail.

Before cloning, make sure to:

  • Save your current preset to retain any edited settings

  • Disconnect any MIDI and USB cables to avoid interference

  • Connect the main 1/4″ or XLR outputs (or headphones) for monitoring

  • Set appropriate output levels using the Volume knob

  • Ensure your signal chain is as noise-free as possible

  • Use ground lift, isolators, or hum eliminators if needed

  • Configure Mic In Phantom Power correctly when using microphones

Additionally, for certain cloning scenarios (especially amp + cab), a load box is required to properly route and capture the signal.

New Amps in Helix Stadium Update 1.3

The update expands the Agoura engine with two new amp models:

  • Matchstick 30 (Ch 1, Ch 2, Jumped) Based on* Matchless® DC30

  • Mandarin Rock 3 (Normal, Overdrive) Based on* Orange® Rockerverb 100 MKIII

This adds 5 new Agoura amp channels, bringing the total to 55 Agoura channels.

If you include the existing 111 HX amp channels, Helix Stadium now offers a total of 166 amp channels.

Song Flag Automation (Major Upgrade)

Before 1.3, song flags behaved like a basic event sequencer - actions were only triggered when the playhead reached a specific point. With 1.3, this changes significantly.

Selected flags now behave like true automation:

  • Showcase always knows your position in the song

  • Presets, snapshots, MIDI, and amp states update automatically

  • No need to “hit” a flag for it to trigger

This is a huge improvement for live performance, especially when jumping between song sections.

MIDI Note Flags

MIDI flags can now generate MIDI note messages, opening up new possibilities:

  • Trigger synths and samplers

  • Control drum machines

  • Even integrate with video playback systems

  • Or send signals to MIDI-to-DMX lighting setups

MIDI Recall of Playlists, Songs, and Markers

Another important addition:

  • Playlists and songs can now be recalled via MIDI CC

  • Helix Stadium makes it easy to identify the correct messages

This improves integration with external controllers and complex live rigs.
